In addition, Portland is close to many wonderful natural sites. It takes just one hour to go to the Pacific Coast, Mt. Hood, or the Columbia River Gorge.

Oregon is world famous for its natural beauty, its variety of activities and events, and its friendly people. Portland has 2,200,000 people so it has all the benefits of a big city. However, it has a friendly, small town feel.
