Portland Transportation
Learn English in a city in which you do not need to own a car to enjoy. Portland's public transportation system is excellent. Students can reach any part of the city by bus, train, streetcar, or bicycle. Because of this, Portland is very convenient for English language students and very affordable.

Max Train
Our school is located on the Max train line. Therefore, every train in Portland passes in front of our school. Students are one Max ride away from their homes or anywhere they might want to visit. Furthermore, in the downtown area, all Max trains are free!

Our school is located on the bus mall. Therefore, almost every bus in Portland passes in front of our school. Students are one bus ride away from their homes or anywhere else in Portland.

Street Car
The Portland Street Car connects the great shopping and cafes on NW 23rd Avenue with the beautiful views from the Portland Arial Tram in the South Waterfront area. It also passes Powell’s Bookstore, the Central Library, and comes within 5 blocks of our school.

Portland, Oregon is recognized as the most bicycle friendly city in America. More people bicycle to work in Portland than any other city in America. Portland’s system of bicycle trails and bicycle lanes makes it easy and enjoyable to travel around Portland on two wheels.

Airplane Transportation To/From Portland
The Portland International Airport (PDX) has won the U.S. airport of the year award three times. The airport is connected by train to downtown Portland and the Portland English Language Academy (20 minutes).

Portland International Airport features free Wi-Fi and no sales tax. No store or restaurant in the airport is allowed to raise its prices higher than that store or restaurant's other locations in the Portland area. Therefore, Portland International Airport is very convenient to reach and inexpensive to shop or eat at.

Greyhound buses depart throughout the day from Portland to Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, Canada to the north, from Portland to San Francisco and Los Angles, California to the south, and from Portland to Salt Lake City, Utah and all cities east.
Students can also take Greyhound bus to Oregon cities such as Eugene, Corvallis, Ashland, and many others.
